The role:

As Project Engineer you will be the support to the Project Manager or the Project Team Leader in all engineering work activities for the design and construction of new plants, plant expansions and plant modifications.

You will liaise with and co-ordinate Process- and Discipline Engineering, with applicable contractor to ensure that all Basell requirements are well covered according to the contract and is guardian of company's interests for all technical matters during the execution phase of the project.

You will provide support to R&D and is the link between Process Design Package and Basic Design and Engineering Package, the latter being fit for use as basis for execution of a project.

You are required to have/ be

  • Chemical engineering degree or relevant technical experience/degree
  • 5 years+ relevant project experience in the field of polyolefins process plants. Experiences in all phases of project engineering and construction, preferable in international context.
  • Good technical and commercial English language skills are essential. Knowledge of other languages is useful.
  • Proven track record working with engineering/construction contractors
  • Strong negotiating abilities
  • Should have adequate helicopter view to oversee and integrate complete (process) plant designs.
