Job Summary Description:

The Reliability Team gives technical support to the maintenance and production department to secure or to obtain the maximum availability of equipment for the two sites in the Netherlands (Botlek and Maasvlakte). This responsibility will be supported by the development of preventive and predictive programs, spare part recommendations, equipment performance and failure evaluations, quality procedures and evaluation of technical specifications of existing (repairs) and new equipment.

You are required to have/be:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (HBO), and a minimum of 3 years experience in rotating equipment. For the senior position you are required to have at least 8 year’s of experience.

You need to be results orientated, have excellent technological orientation, good problem solving & decision making skills and excellent communication in both Dutch and English

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain long term plans for the analysis and determination of potential problem areas and evaluation of the solutions with cost/benefit analysis.

Provide the scope of work for preventive maintenance (PM) in the Turnaround and optimize PM programs with obtained experience and new technical developments to minimize cost at maximum plant reliability.

Analyse repeating problems of equipment by evaluation of available databases, determine root causes and present proposals and action plans to solve the problems.

Provide the design of equipment improvements or replacement in order to improve reliability of the equipment and provide a cost/benefit justification.

Provide recommendations, relating to equipment performance and reliability results, for the engineering standards and specifications in order to improve future designs.

Provide and implements a technical training program to meet departmental and corporate technical requirements.

Implement Botlek work processes at Maasvlakte to meet goals and objectives at both sites.

Provide input to the exchange process between FOS (Plant in France) and Netherlands in order to achieve goals and objectives of FOS.

Participate in maintenance best practice teams to ensure that the European best practices are implemented at corporate level. Scope includes engineering standards and work processes as well as expertise.

Implement new reliability programs (e.g. RBI) in order to improve plant reliability and to optimize maintenance costs.

Implement requirements initiated by authorities and/or new legislation in order to meet permit requirements.
